Everything About Malocclusion (Misaligned Jaw)

It is optimal for any parent to check if their
child has a misaligned jaw or in another term Malocclusion. Leads to a lot of
problems if left without treatment
How Do We Realise About A Child’s Malocclusion?
Pay attention and check if your child’s upper
teeth and lower teeth are properly aligned when their mouth is closed.
Overbite is the condition when the child’s upper teeth are protruding further
than their lower set of teeth.
Underbite is the condition when the child’s lower teeth are protruding further
than their upper set of teeth.
It is always advisable that you check for it at
the early stages when the treatment gets easier and preventative in many cases.
You can take your child to an Orthodontist in Bangalore by the age of 7.
There are cases where you might have to see an Orthodontist way before they
turn 7 and it is very much necessary to treat these issues at the earliest
1.
Crooked teeth.
2.
Opening their mouth frequently.
3.
Malocclusion.
4.
Unusual Bite.
5.
Thumb sucking even after the age
of 6.
The common mistake many parents do is that they
do not take their child to an orthodontist at the age of seven, but they
neglect many of this factor and rush to the dentists when there is severe or
unbearable pain the child goes through. Going to any Dentist will not fix the
issue your child’s teeth are facing. It is highly recommended to a specialized
pediatric orthodontist who is a pioneer in the same field and they know exactly
what treatment your child requires.
In the present day, many parents do not pay much
attention to their child, blaming their work taking a toll on them and not providing
enough time for the same. Though both parents are working, it is required for
them to take proper and timely care of their child’s dental health and teach
them to stick out of unhealthy habits.
You must steer clear your child of chewing gums
and grinding their teeth which is not healthy. If you find your child grinding
their teeth during sleep, it is recommended that you may use mouth guards which
prevent them from doing so unconsciously while they are asleep.
Anything that is not paid attention to at the
earliest might lead to serious problems as the child grows and the treatments
get hectic and act heavy on your pockets as well.
We are hoping that you keep all these in mind and
give your child the best dental care possible.
